The chapter is co-authored with Graciela Fernandez de Cordova and Paola Moschella. It has been published in a new book — Urban socio-economic segregation and income inequality, a global perspective — with the purpose to explain the relationship between increasing levels of inequality and segregation. The book offers a unique global overview of segregation trends in 24 case studies by local author teams from large urban regions in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.
