Ceren Sezer is invited as a track chair and a member of the scientific committee of the Second City Street Conference in Beirut in 9-11 November 2016. She also gave a speech about the activities of the AESOP thematic group Public Spaces and Urban Cultures following the keynote speeches by Dr. Camilla van Deurs (partner, Gehl Architects), Prof. Andreas Uebele (Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences) and Prof. Paola Somma (architect & planner, activist).

The City Street conference is an international biannual conference initiated and hosted by Notre Dame University of Louaize, Beirut Lebanon. The theme of the conference for 2016 is “Street Forming – Reforming: transforming the 21st century city streets”.  The conference program included an international student workshop, which brings together the students of four universities from the Middle East: Notre Dame University of Louaize (Lebanon), University of Amman (Jordan), Cyprus University (Cyprus), Alexandria University (Egypt). Additionally, a field trip to the inner city neighbourhoods of the Syrian refugees was a part of this program.
