A special issue of Built Environment (Vol. 43, No. 2) published in July 2017, edited by Ceren Sezer and Matej Nikšič, was dedicated to Public Space and Urban Justice. The special issue responds to the increased interest in public space as a facilitator of urban justice. It presents contributions which explore the practical implications of urban justice in concrete examples. Two articles of members of the chair Spatial Planning were included. The first one is the introduction to the special issue, Public Space and Urban Justice, co-authored by Matej Nikšič and Ceren Sezer. The second one, entitled Cultural Visibility and Urban Justice in Immigrant Neighbourhoods of Amsterdam, co-authored by Ceren Sezer and Ana Maria Fernandez Maldonado, approaches the issue through the visibility of immigrant amenities with distinctive cultural signs and practices.
