Dominic Stead contributed to the roundtable discussion on redefining planning in Northern Europe at this year’s Nordic Planning Research Symposium (Plannord) in Helsinki.

Together with Daniel Galland (Norwegian University of Life Sciences), Lukas Smas (Nordregio), Raine Mäntysalo (Aalto University) and Frank Othengrafen (Leibniz Universität Hannover), he highlighted some of the ways in which contemporary planning is being reshaped. The roundtable focused on two key issues: the rescaling of governance and the redefinition of planning conceptions and roles.
