April 2013 Lidewij Tummers performed a consultancy on Gender and urban development for the Bordeaux region CUB. The programme consisted of two parts: One an interactive workshop with the staff of different departments involved in planning, such as mobility, infrastructure, housing and urban design. As Bordeaux already has strong diversity and social participation policies, this workshop was geared especially to implementation and the use of different instruments for gender and urban development. Second a public meeting was held as part of a series moderated by the citizen’s steering group about urban strategies.
